What are Grape Vine Moth Caterpillars?
An Australian native, the Grape Vine Moth was identified in New Zealand in the 1940s as an introduced agricultural pest. A striking looking caterpillar; it's black with pale yellow lines in a cross-hatched pattern, a series of lateral red spots and a big red rump. It has long white hairs scattered over its skin.
Symptoms
Caterpillar-eaten holes in grape or fuchsia leaves.
