Position

Full sun.

Sow

Sow direct in warm conditions or raise in trays of Yates® Black Magic® Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist. Transplant when 6cm high. Early sowings should be covered with glass, as warmth is needed for germination.

Care

Choose a sunny, well-drained position. Before sowing apply Yates® Thrive® Natural Blood & Bone. Frequent picking encourages more fruit. Begin picking when green or, for hotter taste, harvest when red. Protect from snails and slugs.

Hints

Can be eaten green but will become hotter as chillis mature. Chilli seeds can be removed for a milder heat. After handling seed or fruit, wash hands well to avoid irritating skin or eyes.
