Another busy weekend in the sun

I am finally in a good place with the garden.  Its pretty much all planted out and I've done some leftover seedling swaps which is always great to be able to do.

I'm picking radishes and strawberries every day, the blueberries are looking glorious and passionfruit are on their way.

I'm surprised about this lonely Megapod bean - I planted it there last year as I didn't really know what to do with it.  It has come away vigourisly this year and beans are well established.

I pulled out some untidy poppies and have bagged there heads and hung them up to dry....which looks very macabe in the hayshed!!

I have been making a point of putting down the tools and doing something with the girls - Saturday is was going to the local beach at high tide (sooo cold) but they love the slide into the water, and Sunday we took a walk around the reserve with my parents and went loquat picking and gorged ourselves on the sweet fruit.

We have always had a big 'raw materials' area we are tidying up and needed to move the wood pile .... 5c a piece of wood to the girls and we had it done in just over an hour ....while going broke in the process!  Hopefully they will be just as keen with the 2 pallets of bricks that need moving - but upping it to 10c a brick for the extra weight.
