We have been living at our property for 3.5 years, and you have no idea how excited I was to see one of the 8 or so plants the previous owners planted in bloom!
They are on the fence line of our section and our sheep chewed them to pretty much nothing. We were actually very lucky we only lost one!
We put up the netting, which they still managed to nibble at. So once the kids were old enough to know not to touch we had to resort to turning on the hot wire, which in turn has saved them.
My sister in-law told me they love ash, so I popped some around each plant and they are starting to thrive.
Hopefully more start to bloom soon!
