Cauliflower

I hope everyone has had a great labour weekend filled with lots of gardening! I didn't have too much to do as I had already planted most things out. It was super hot which has made me worry more about watering things this summer. I spent some time mulching around all my fruit trees.

What I really wanted to make this post about though was cauliflower! I don't know about you but no matter how I stagger my cauli plants or what variety I plant them seem to sit dormant for ages all leafy and then all decide to grow heads at the same time!

So I think I have now harvested 3 big heads in the last week or so. My favourite thing to make with a whole head of cauli is Destitute Gourmets Pea, Potato and Cauli curry. Super yum filling vege dinner.

However I have been inspired by some of my friends posting recipes from Chelsea Winter's new vege cook book. A friend recommended her sweet and sour cauliflower recipe. It's basically battered deep fried cauli with sweet and sour sauce. So if you have a favourite sweet and sour recipe it's pretty easy to make yourself.

Unfortunatetly I didn't take a photo of the sweet and sour cauil. I will say however it was super filling and I made way to much cauli! So plenty of left overs for lunch tomorrow.

Would love to hear if anyone else has a favourite cauli recipe as I still have plenty to use up!
