Blog Type:Mini Challenge - 5 Top Tips, Vegetables, Flowers

I finally got around to planting out , only some courgettes , pumpkins and a few cherry dot tomatoes .

I love the idea of the 5 tips but I am not going to do them all at once so heres my first one .

When planting add an egg and milk powder to the hole , this works especially well with tomatoes to prevent blossom end rot but the calcium and protien are benificial to all plants , I also added neem to hopefully give plants a good head start to warn of pests .

As always before planting I also soak in seaweed base feed , this time Yates thrive seaweed .

I also put a net over top as I have free range chickens , they are useually pretty respectful but I know I bought a lot of worms up and they just can not resist .

Over the weekend we got heaps done on my she shed I can now visualise the view over the garden :) .

Flowers of the moment are ixias and cornflowers , plus I grew a few ornamental kales , not 100 % succesful on the kale as the stems were very short but I will try again when the weather cools again .
