We live on a street that sometimes feels like it has more foot traffic than cars! That's weird for Auckland.
Our property and the main garden is street facing with no front fence and I often see people stopping to check it out. This was one reason to make it functional and beautiful.
My dream one day is to be able to leave excess fruit and vegetables in a stand out front for passers by but as it is only just coming on we don't have surplus yet.
Well no surplus fruit but plenty of flowers. So today I made a wee stand from an old pallet and beer bottles. Cut the beer bottles with a glass cutter for vases and burnt the writing in. It's now screwed to the letterbox with flowers for those that pass by.
I'm hoping they will be taken as it's nice to be able to share something you have grown yourself. Fingers crossed!
