Herb garden and garden maintenance

Yesterday after my birthday lunch, I decided to spend the afternoon out in the garden getting it ready for planting my seedlings over the next couple of weeks.

The weekend was quite productive with all the odd little jobs I did in the garden. It was great to be out in the sun, and as always I had Jazz overseeing me.

I got rid of all my peas as they were looking a bit tired. I added in more soil and have planted lettuce in the front with the idea of sowing bean seeds in the back to climb up the trellis. One of the pots I am planning on sowing dwarf sunflower seeds in. The plan is to sow these seeds this week.

I've also removed some of the soil and added new soil for three of my tomatoe pots as last weekend the weather was too bad to do anything outside. I've only got one left to do, so that is next weekends job too.

Also planted fresh parsley and basil in my herb garden. Along with marigolds on the bottom of the stack of pots.

Next weekend I'm also going to get one of my raised garden beds ready for planting out, and plant my chillies into the pots I want them in.

Hopefully you are all having a productive time getting your garden ready for the season too.
