I seem to be running a day behind in my blogs, it's been a busy few days.
While we were in our local nursery the other day buying the seeds, the lovely lady gave the kids some seed potatoes to plant. The varieties are unknown, so it will be interesting to see what grows.
Yesterday we managed to find some time to plant them. To save space in the garden, and to make it more fun for the kids, we decided to grow them in buckets. We mixed soil and compost with some sheep pellets. The kids thought I was mad telling them to put a wee scoop in each bucket, but they eagerly got in there and planted their spuds. This is my/our first time growing them in buckets, so I'm excited to see how they go!
