Being outside in the garden after dinner is one of my favourite times of day. And now that daylight savings has happened I can make use of that time again!

When the kids were little I would sneak outside as hubby was putting the kids to bed and spend the time winding down from the day. Now often the kids are outside playing, trying to make use of that last little bit of daylight. Being school holidays bed time has been a bit more relaxed as it's so hard to drag them inside when they're outside enjoying the fresh air!

It was quite hot this afternoon so I was holding out for it to be a bit cooler so I could plant out a few more seedlings. Emptied out my compost and leaf mulch into the garden and also around my raspberry bushes.

Planted out some lettuce seedlings and another row of carrots. I have butternuts and Queensland blue pumpkin seedlings ready to plant out too. I always plant them in front of my compost bin so they can sprawl out over the lawn a bit. Let the chickens have a bit of a scratch around in the bottom of the bin tonight though so will plant them out tomorrow.
