Finally, two of my favourite things have arrived – Spring and the Yates Spring Vegie Growing Challenge.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Sarah the Gardener and I am the Yates Brand Ambassador and am here to help, encourage, inspire (although you guys will inspire me more) support and problem solve (garden or technical) here in the challenge.  I will be reading every single blog post and am looking forward to it.  So, if you have any questions or problems just comment below on my latest post.

I know what it is like to enter this competition as I was a hopeful entrant for several seasons way back when it started in 2010.  Although those days to had to get people to vote for you.  These days you can just focus on what’s going on in the garden.

Speaking of What’s Going On, you will notice a box with that label on the main Growing Community page.  I would encourage you to regularly click on the box (or >HERE<) to find out all the details of what is going on in the challenge – there will be announcements, new mini challenge details, winners and so much more.

And the first thing you will find there are all the details of the first Mini Challenge:

MEET THE GARDENERS.  Once you settle yourself in – have a look about at the other gardeners and say ‘Hi’ in the comments.  Then create a blog post called MINI CHALLENGE ONE to let us know who your favourite is.  This is open from 1st September to the 17th September so there is plenty of time.  It doesn’t affect the overall outcome of the Vegie Growing Challenge but there is a prize for the 3 winners and the gardeners they nominate.

For more advice on how to participate I would encourage you to check out the Hints and Tips you can find >HERE<.  Especially if you are new here or would like a refresher.  There are some helpful tips to help get the most out of the challenge.

I’m super excited for another wonderful growing season and it will be a pleasure to garden alongside you all.

Happy Gardening
