I'm sure for a lot of people, here and around the world, it has been a funny old day. The passing of a woman who has been a part of our lives for so many years is quite surreal. I hope Elizabeth Windsor finally has some rest from the constant duty, media scrutiny and family troubles that have been her life for the past 96 years. While we may envy the royal lifestyle, in reality I think she (and the now King Charles) may have preferred a life more simple - tending to their animals, roaming in the hills and of course gardening.
My garden signs are a new addition. I was inspired by the signs outside the market gardens near Otaki on the way down to Wellington. S.H cut the pieces of timber out of some old fence palings and I used stencils that I printed from my laptop.
