Pantry is looking a tad bare at the moment. Was stressing about it a bit yesterday until I suddenly remembered I had saved the pods from the storm damaged beans so shall do something nice with these bad boys for dinner. Yum.

Such a stunning colour!

Shall post some recipies up for you guys who have a glut on Friday. ( noticed the posts asking) ... in the meantime, these will be boiled for 5 minutes only, in water that also has a couple of bay leaves and a couple of thyme tips. Then drained ( water has no salt so save it for your outside pots, full of nutrients) and the skins slipped off. After that i get to play 😁 Thinking a wee fritter ... shall let you know on Friday.

Oh... cooking ANY kind of bean with bayleaves helps with flatulant issues and makes them easier to digest  AND broad beans especially will absorb the flavour of the thyme and bay through their skins, rendering them most delicious ( i found that out just now when i was snacking on the smallest ones... yum.)
