I was pottering in the kitchen this afternoon and took a moment to look through our dining/living room area which has two windows that frame the most beautiful picture for me.
Isn't it funny how often you take the little things for granted? A view of something lovely through a window in your home is often just accepted, almost overlooked, until a moment when you think to yourself "wow! that is special".
That is the moment I had this afternoon when I glanced up from my dinner prep and saw our two gorgeous espaliered pears with the cheerful little gardens of lobelia and petunia below.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a home that can offer them a garden, not everyone has the luxury of time to learn and enjoy gardening. I never take my good fortune for granted.
It's little moments (and views) like this that make me appreciate how lucky we are.
