Inside that tiny fold is a caterpillar who cares not that you are doing your best to grow beautiful delicious food , they want to grow their tiny families to munch though as much as they can .
the one in the pic is a tiny wee brown moth , I used to unfold the leaf but more often than not the caterpillars fall out and finding them is hard so these days I just squish the leaf caterpillar and all .
now that white butterflies are out to those guys are prolific breeders this season I'm choosing a mixes between hunt and eradicate and an organic no caterpillar spray , my brassicas are coming along well but I know they are a high target for most pest so diligence is key .
