Courgette or Zucchini? Who cares?

Apparently the name Courgette is French, Zucchini is Italian. I love the French language so I lean towards courgette... c'est tres bonne.

Whatever you call them they are a prolific producer and certainly value for money - which we are all talking about at the moment.

My biggest problem with Courgette/Zucchini is that SH is not fussed. So I am busy finding inventive ways to present these babies on his plate that may entice him to enjoy.

Our two plants are just starting to produce. I've picked half a dozen medium fruit so far. My daughter-in-law and grandkids love them made into fritters so there will be quite a few of our crop head their way.

However they have made their way on to our dinner plates twice this week. A couple of days ago I crumbed and deep fried strips which SH actually enjoyed. Tonight I once again crumbed, this time in a mix of panko and Parmesan cheese which I baked in the oven - got another thumbs up from SH.

My other go-to is a Courgette/Zucchini Brownie which is so yummy but obviously not the healthiest way to use them.

So here are my Panko and Parmesan baked Zucchini/Courgette. I served them with a salad of our own lettuce, chives, store bought tomatoes (sorry😒) diced preserved beetroot from last years garden, our own (tickled) potatoes with butter and parsley and a side of beef kebabs, crumbed chicken and satay sauce.
