I'm generally an optimist. I like to look on the positive side of most situations. But right now I am sitting at my laptop in my little home office listening to the rain bucket down outside yet again.
All I want to do is spend a couple of spring hours out in my garden - weeding, trimming, planting and sowing. But it won't happen because our lawn is sodden, it squelches underfoot and if I put my garden cushion kneepad down it will be soaked within seconds. Not to mention the garden beds themselves - both flower and vegetable garden here are under about 150 ml of water right now turning my beautiful soil into a slurry of mud.
I know there are many places around the country that have suffered greatly with flooding and terrible weather and I feel bad for complaining when it is only my garden and not my home or business being threatened... but I am still gloomy and I just want the rain to go away.
