Years ago I had a herb garden but these days I prefer to have herbs planted all around the place , They are fabulous some are delicious some have loads of medicinal properties and some have both .
but today I was thinking of the flowers they have that came from cutting some comfrey to soak for a plant tea later , the bees were enjoying there tiny wee bell flowers so I had a wonder and found the sage , borage , Thyme , coriander, marigolds and chives we're flowering away nicely to , I love borage flowers they have a lovely cucumber flavour and we regularly add to salads the chives are just starting I love there Pom Pom flowers and garlic taste .
Rosemary and lamb is a perfect match up .
Sage is not a flavour I enjoy but I do love making smudge sticks .
marigolds are both beautiful last ages in a vase and fantastic healing properties to add to a salve or the likes .
I also got more done in the caged garden and the fog is lifting I can see the light at the end of the tunnel , plus I was delighted to find loads of sunflowers popping up very close to where I planned on planting some anyway .
