While I haven't posted for a bit, I have been enjoying keeping up to date with what is going on in your gardens.

I will say I am secretly jealous of Sue's haul of potatoes, and  Neil's tomatoes. Ours will be a wee while yet, I I do think we have late blight on one patch. Not huge signs, and the plants look healthy so I am persevering. They got a big trim today. If it doesn't work then another lot of corn will go there. I also kept a few tomatoes in reserve which will go in where the onions are. Connor's are fine though.

We are however eating salads most nights with lettuce, cucumber and a few other ingredients, as well as our beetroot, potatoes and beans. The zucchini are in abundance, but all except one chook has gone on strike just when I need the eggs for my zucchini slice.

We have got to the point where everyone has had enough of blueberries so we are starting to freeze them in cupfuls. Our boysenberries have been weird in the sense they are not ripening all at once. Great for eating but not for jam making. I do think I have finally collected enough to make a double batch of jam in the next day or so. Unfortunately, I have been plagued by a sinus infection so not up to doing that today.

Our pumpkins have gone insane in our bags and I am worried that they may visit the neighbours while we are on holiday. I may have to see if I can train them under the feijoa hedge. I may have also planted 2 more courtesy of the chicken coop and am beginning to think I may have some explaining to do with the lawn.

I will update with veggie photos tomorrow, but in the meantime here are some more dahlia pics. About 20 more to bloom.
