Have you ever grown a plant from seed?

We like to grow the food we need

Try it and you may succeed

Though success is never guaranteed.

Some will grow and some will not

Some will love it when it’s hot

Some will grow and grow a lot

In the garden or a pot.

Some won’t do well, you can’t deny

This may make you want to cry

Your plants may live or they may die

You never know unless you try.

But growing is fun and fun is good

It starts with saying that I could…

I could grow a flowery sun

I could grow more than one

I could even grow a ton

Or maybe some lettuce to put in a bun

Growing is good and growing is fun.

Maybe a zucchini from outer space

A flying saucer from another place

Or merry flowers made of gold

The skies the limit, be brave be bold.

Try a new seed, something new

It’s something that we often do

If we can do it, so can you.
