The weather hasn't been too bad lately so it has given me a chance to catch up on a few odd jobs. Have pulled put some overdue lettuces and replanted with some carrots. My spinach wasn't growing as well as expected so I pulled it all out and saved the leaves that were still good and had them for dinner tonight. Dug over their old beds, added some compost and blood and bone ( Yates of course ๐Ÿ˜œ) replanted with some lettuce that needed to be transplanted. Fingers crossed they don't do the same thing as the spinach. Spent the rest of the day seeding up the next succession. While in the tunnel house I noticed that some of the latest seedlings haven't come through or only a handful of them have come through. Probably was because I was watering them a little too much with this overcast weather and the seeds had rotted. I've been out slug/snail hunting, mostly slugs. I'm pretty confident that I have made an impact on their numbers as they are now getting less as well as more of the babies being found. I'm still having issues with my cauliflowers being smaller and forming heads earlier than normal, so I've planted some of each to see how they all go. If you have any tips on cauliflower growing I'd love to hear them. This is the 4th lot of cauliflower that has turned out.... well lets say not so well ๐Ÿ˜”
