It's okay to lessen the workload

I have completed a Horticulture course through The Open Polytech a few years ago, and I received an email saying they now offer a Organic Horticultural course. I jumped at this opportunity as I love learning, especially anything to do with thr garden. Plus, it was the end of summer and I thought I would give me something to do through the colder months.

I completed the first paper and assignments that went along with that, then realised that the next paper would start just before spring. While this would be good for the next lot of practical, it dawned on me if I continued I would be taking on far too much at my busy time, along with all my other commitments and playing taxi driver to the kids.

So I didn't continue with the course, and have zero regrets. Even though I dislike not finishing anything, I made a promise to myself that I would say no to things and people if I thought it was in my own best interests. As I am very much a people pleaser and a yes gal by nature, and I later regret it!

Another factor on me deciding not to continue was that I didn't really learn anything 'new'. But whose to say I wouldn't have if I continued!

But, I did create this new wee bit of garden for the practical I had to do and I adore it!  We had to plant plants that would attract beneficial insects and birds. I decided to create it beside my main vege gardens along the fence which will also create a bit of a wind break too.

So I guess you could say in the end I did get something out of it ❤️❤️❤️
