Woohoo 24 Kumera slips are planted and watered in , there was a wee bit more space in the bed so I popped in 3 tomatoes money makers and some basil , then popped 3 hoops with netting to protect from my naughty chickens .
I planted my giant pumpkin in the corner of my raised bed outside the she shed , I plan on weed spraying the strip by the fence in preparation for a mixed hedge to go in in autumn so it will have the space to do what it wants .
I have to do my house work because it's gotten a bit much , then this afternoon I plan on sowing some watermelon, more cucumbers and sugar snap peas .
For dinner tonight we are having broad beans , roast baby beets with roast potatoes all from the garden then all tossed together with bacon cooked in butter and chives stirred though just before serving . It's a hit with all members of our family as long as the broad beans are picked young .
