Kumera or sweet potato is one of my favs , I learnt that unlike potatoes you can't just chuck them in and keep covering, first you need to put the Kumera in water and wait for roots , then it sends up shoots that you cut and put in water for them to root , these are Kumera slips and will get planted out later .
It really has made a beautiful house plant over the last couple of months but with the weather warming it was time to cut especially since it's cold and wet outside .
I hope we get another raised bed in in time but if not I will plant in our blue half barrel planters .
