After all the rain yesterday, and even this morning, the sunshine this afternoon was more than welcomed. If we could get a few more days like today, I think we will see some tremendous growth in the garden.

Even this evening as I did a quick wander around the garden, it is starting to come more alive. The first border dahlia in pots has come out. It is a much-welcomed addition to that part of the garden. More importantly, though, is the tomato flowers on one of the cherry tomatoes (I could not believe it); and baby zucchini that I spied (fingers crossed it is pollinated properly). Likewise, the cucumbers are starting to appear (thanks again James). We even have some red onions fattening up. Going by the price of onions in the supermarket, I was more than happy to see these coming along nicely. I do wish we had planted more though. Hindsight is always a wonderful thing. I guess it is how we gardeners move forward for next year, and improve on things.
