Having moved from Auckland to Christchurch you soon realise the climate is very different. It has been a big learning curve as the frost's this year came very late.
planting out too early is very risky.
But the joy of a different climate is being able to grow plants I wouldn't have been able to grow in Auckland and peonies are right at the top of my list. I love them and just want to buy and grow every colour I see.
I bought this one pictured last year and can't remember the colour so I am eagerly waiting for it to open.
On the weekend I visited a peony farm and it was so beautiful. There will be more peony plant purchases in my future for sure.
