It's all systems go here this week in preparation for the 'Fertile' sowing period in line with the Moon Calendar. The ground is slowly heating up and the Root Vegetables, which were direct sown in late September, are popping out of the ground. The peas and beans are brave little soldiers, they survived the harsh wet, cold, and windy weather we had yesterday (yes there was fresh snow on the mountains).
The seedlings have been hardening off on their daily outdoor excursions, and I think they will be ready for their new homes this week. The soil is ready, lots of goodness added, and bird/possum/ rodent proofing is in place. It's been such a long time since the last planting out, I'm really looking forward to it.
