My asparagus is in its second year of producing but I'm not going to be harvesting any this year as I moved it into its permanent garden bed a couple of months ago.
I want to give it one more year before I harvest any to give it time to settle and grow into it's permanent home.
Of course I know I should have made the new garden before I bought the asparagus but sometimes as a gardener I just get a wee bit impatient.
But next year will be the year of the asparagus.
