Before the heat and wind destroyed my roses I harvested them for drying , I love the romance of red roses .
And my baby beets were starting to go to seed so I harvested them I will keep the bigger ones for roasting and pickle the smaller ones , I'm going to cheat and reuse the pickle juice from some gherkins , I have never done that before but have always wondered if it will work so I need to try it out .
