Seedlingevnyitis is a rare and often misdiagnosed condition and left untreated it can be dangerous.
It was first discovered by James McCallum (amatuer gardener) around Spring 2015 and it is believed to be directly linked to a gardening competition that happens every year.
Seedlingenvyitis is best described as a deep jealousy of other gardeners seedlings when comparing to ones own. It is the feeling that other gardeners seedlings are outperforming yours and that you will never catch up.
James discovered this condition when seeing many blogs about other gardeners seedlings and seeing that they are almost garden ready while his had only just emerged from the soil.
The condition while not deadly, can lead to excessive alcohol consumption if left untreated or even worse, can lead to a trip to Bunnings to buy punnets of already established plants!
The scary thing about this condition is that there are no known cures to date. It is said that the condition can be alleviated by using some mystical thing called patience but despite searching far and wide for this, James has not been able to find it for sale anywhere!
The good thing is that it is not believed to be contagious.
Another rare gardening condition also discovered by James was greenhouseevnyitis. Turns out that this one can be cured by buying a greenhouse.
