The garden is producing more of some vegetables than we could possibly eat so I harvested several varieties of lettuce lettuce and bagged them up. I also cut some of the fennel and the excess spinach and silverbeet plus a couple of extra punnets of bok Choi and took them down to the community cart to share.
I love that it's so easy to share excess and often pick up something that someone else had plenty of.
This time I grabbed a few jars that had been left as I know when summer really kicks in I will use them for jam or chutney.
It's a win win situation for all.
