A little update. I have had a closer look at the 5 and 6 petal flowers on the shishito and padron plants. All plants have mostly 5 petal flowers. As the padron are a little smaller as I could not get seeds and I bought plants, I have consentrated on the shishito plants. I have selected 1 plant and black cable ties are marking 5 carefully selected 6 petal flowers, white for 5. What was interesting is that the 6 petal flowers are at the end of the branches, the last flower or 2. There are roughly 8 to 11 flowers per branch, of which only 1 or 2 are 6 petal flowers.
Wonder if the 6 petal one's are the hot ones? Will find out in January I suspect😁
