Successful Successive Planting

This is the first year where we have managed to get a handle on successive planting. The hardest part is just remembering to plant more seeds as the plants pretty much do their own thing.

Our first corn is the Yates Pink Popcorn.  I was so excited to see it is starting to flower (if that's the right term). We love family movies on the weekend and cuddling up with a bowl of popcorn.

The second lot was planted about 4 weeks later and is about half the size. This is a Florida Supersweet from memory.  We do not want these cross pollinating.

And now about 6 weeks later we have a second batch of the supersweet coming up.

It is a stunning day up here in Northland so I think it's time to hit the pool. Just yesterday I was saying it felt like Summer was not coming this year, but now I think it just arrived.
