This was where the fun really started for me. As fast as Super Husband could put some timber edging around a garden I would throw some plants in the ground. First were a couple of tomato plants then the Rua potatoes in the top corner and then as he built, I planted. It was mid October after all and the growing season was well underway, I needed to catch up. At this point we had been in our new home for just on six weeks.
Garden edging.... tick. Soil dug over..... tick. Spuds in..... tick. Corn in, pea supports up, bean fences up, seeds in... tick. Paths laid by Nanny and No. 1 grandson..... tick.
Our vege garden dreams were starting to become a reality.
