We had good rain overnight, as I was lying in bed last night listening to it, I thought today would be the perfect time to direct sow some seeds, as the soil will be damp already.

After I dropped the kids off at school I looked at the weather app, and more rain was forecast for this morning, so I quickly got my gear ready and set to it.

I sowed some more spring onions and wanted to do another row of spinach and radishes but I didn't have the room I thought I had. Surprise, surprise. There were big gaps where carrots didn't germinate so I popped some more seed in to fill those rows.

Although my experiment with sowing radish with carrot seed worked well in terms of germination, I don't think it works well for me. When I went to pull the radishes out, I don't know if it's me being too rough, but it disturbed the carrot seedlings a bit too much for my liking. But you don't know unless you try right!

You'll be pleased to know I didn't get wet, missed the rain by about 10 minutes, and it didn't come to much in the end. But it get make me get my A into G!
