This is a new one. I was looking for a tomato the was more cold hardy for the green house over winter and found this. The name is a bit deceptive.
Like winter squash, this is not grown in winter, it is for use in winter. The idea is to grow it during summer and the long lasting mini roma style cocktail tomatoes can be used as normal. Growing it later in the season will see an abundance of green fruit left on the plant. The plant is then cut at the base and hung upside down in a shed and the fruit will continue to ripen well into winter.
Well we will se how this goes, have 2 pla ts now and wil start 2 more in december😊.
