Looking at ideas to cover an area in front of corn that can work its way under it, whilst the butternut grows around the outside, I came across a few Google ideas of yams, so as an adventure I have a small amount of yams planted as a test. Don't know much about them, other than they look like large maggots but taste nice roasted. The main thing is to se how they interact with corn and butternut. Beans will go in to climb the corn too.
