The edible flower selections in the garden are there as a garnish, but mostly to attract beneficial insects and there are not many flowers that look as happy as pansies and violets. Here is a picture of a patch of violets that edges a bed where the last of the winter silver beet is growing. The silver beet has a home to go to so will cut it off in the morning and drop off at the neighbour before work.

The cage that the silver beet is in has early boy tomato plants behind the beet, and they are starting to need a little more space. The violets will stay and will have a little more room to spread there legs a  bit,.
