There is a part of me that believes Carol Jane is still reading these blogs from the other side but her comments just can't quite make it.

For those in the competition this year who never met Carol Jane, she was a fantastic gardener with so much knowledge and who always encouraged us gardeners in this challenge.  The supporter prize is in honour of her as sadly she passed a couple of years ago.

I remember in a past year, I blogged about wanting to grow a wild flower garden but had no room. She quickly pointed out that there was always room and ever since then, I have been planting wild flowers each year. I must say, I  have not been as successful as she was.

This year Haven and I mixed all our flower seeds and wild flower packets. We have two banks that are pretty bare but too steep for a lot of things so I want these to be wild flower patches. We did one bank last year and some stuff self seeded. This year we direct planted one bank and also planted up 5 trays. The idea is to get the trays growing and plant some clumps on the bank.
