This clever, high yielding, bushy variety takes up less space than other more sprawling varieties of cucumbers, making it ideal for smaller gardens. Produces fruit up to 20 cm in length; or pick early for mini munchers! Enjoy as a snack on its own, or add to your favourite salad for additional crunch.
For early sowing, raise in pots of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix in a well-lit, protected spot. Transplant after 3-4 weeks. For direct sowing press 4-5 seeds into mounds of moist soil 40cm apart. Later thin to the two strongest plants. Plants can also be sown next to a supporting trellis or tripod (approx 1m).
Grow in a Sunny, well-drained position. Prepare soil by adding Yates Thrive Natural Blood & Bone. Water regularly (to avoid bitter fruit) at plant base and apply Yates Thrive All Purpose Granular Plant Food at regular intervals. Protect from snails and slugs.
Great companion plant for basil, beans, broccoli, carrots, corn, lettuce, potatoes, parsnip, radish and tomotoes. Pick fruit regularly to prevent them getting tough. Pick fruit regularly to prolong harvest.
