Yates Lawn Grub and Porina Kill + Protect delivers excellent kill and preventative control against a large range of common New Zealand lawn pests.
When used at the higher application rate (see How To Use), it provides up to 6 months protection and can also be used to control outbreaks later in the season.
For best results, apply early in the season when pests first appear.

HOW TO APPLY
PREPARE:
- Measure the area of lawn that will be treated to work out how much to apply.
- 2L treats up to 300m2.
- To prevent NZ Grass Grub and other Beetle Larvae use 2L over 150m2.
CONNECT:
- Shake well before use and connect hose to bottle.
- You will need to have a click-on hose connector.
- Check applicator on/off switch is in the OFF position, then lift plastic flap at front of applicator, ensuring it is completely open.
APPLY:
- Turn on tap using moderate to high water pressure.
- Turn applicator on/off switch to ON position to commence spraying.
- Walk slowly using a sweeping motion to distribute the spray evenly over the measured lawn area. Overlap treated areas slightly.
- Keep bottle upright; do not point at the ground.
- Avoid spraying near edible plants.
- When finished, turn applicator to OFF position, close plastic flap and turn off tap.
- Always store product upright.

For best results apply before or at peak egg hatch as below. Lightly water in immediately after application. Early application is essential to prevent lawn damage due to larvae feeding. Apply the high rate for:
African Black Beetle and Argentine Scarab Apply early season (mid-September), or late season (mid-December) onwards when less sensitive mid-instar grubs are present. Argentine Stem Weevil and Billbug Larvae Apply early season when overwintering adults are first observed (typically mid-September) or mid-December in cases of high pest pressure. Crane Fly Larvae/Leather Jackets Apply typically February to April New Zealand Grass Grub Apply typically January to March Tasmanian Grass Grub Apply typically November to December |

DO NOT apply more than 2 applications per year. The maximum single application rate is 1.25L/100m2 (0.30kg chlorantraniliprole/ha). The maximum total cumulative annual rate is 2.33L/100m2 (0.56kg chlorantraniliprole/ha).
DO NOT GRAZE TREATED TURF/LAWN, OR FEED TURF/LAWN CLIPPINGS FROM ANY TREATED AREA TO POULTRY OR LIVESTOCK.
CAUTION
DO NOT apply on or around food or animal crops.
DO NOT apply into or onto water.
DO NOT apply when the soil is saturated with water. This product may leach into groundwater if used on porous soil. This product may harm some beneficial insects - including those used in Integrated Pest Management. Chlorantraniliprole is persistent in soil and is expected to accumulate over successive years following repeated use.
STORAGE:
Store upright in the closed, original container in a cool, dry place, away from foodstuffs and out of the reach of children. Do not store in direct sunlight.
