Garden ready!

So I am on day 70 of this challenge and I know some of you have been blogging here even longer but i just can’t believe we are at the end of the challenge already. I had to start my garden from lawn and I am so pleased with how well it has become established. I have to admit this challenge helped with the self discipline. But it paid off and I feel it is looking good. There is still a very long way to go as money becomes available and I have had to make good use of recycled materials until I can afford to replace with macrocarpa and a poly tunnel or glasshouse. Keeping the birds off has been the biggest challenge, one that the birds have faired better at. The quinoa was my trial crop and that looks to be doing well at this stage. Overall this has been a successful year and I am just about to reap what has been sown. Thank you to Yates for the challenges, Sarah for her dedication and advice and to everyone who has commented and offered valuable information – it’s such a great community on here and I will miss it greatly. A special mention to my daughter – Daisy Cottage Junior – who has tended her own garden entirely on her own for the first year and she has done an amazing job, I am so proud of her! Happy gardening x
