Garden ready!

Hello!

I can’t believe that the challenge is finally coming to an end!  It has been amazing, and I can’t wait to take part next year :). I want to thank all of the people who have left comments on my posts.  It really means a lot to me to hear encouragement from people who are amazing gardeners! And of course a big thank you to Sarah and Yates for organizing this. I really appreciate it.  Sorry if that sounded kind of odd.

My garden is doing really well!  My cosmos is flowering, my cucumbers are getting really big, and my tomatoes are healthy (if still quite small).  I have a few snow pea plants that have survived, and they look great! My lettuces are producing lots of leaves, as are my spinach.  My Leeks are looking pretty good, but they aren’t as good as they could be.  My Radishes and carrots aren’t excellent as they have been exposed to several snails, but on the whole, they’re doing pretty well. My butterfly field seedlings are pretty good too!

My experience with my garden this year has been amazing!  They have been a few challenges along the way and I don’t have as many kinds of plants as I had seeds at the beginning, but it has been really great on the whole and my garden is about 5 times the size it was last year. Hopefully it will continue to grow well and I’ll get some great produce by the end of summer.

Just a side note, every time I go to post something I have to chose if the weather has been sunny, rainy or overcast (which you will know if you have made a blog post).  But I live in Auckland so every day if a mix of everything.  For example, the other day there were thunderstorms in the morning and heaps of sun in the afternoon!  So it’s kind of confusing to say which one!

Thank you all so much for reading my posts.  I’ll miss being able to tell you all about my garden :(.  I hope to see all next year! Until then,

Happy gardening and Merry Christmas!
