We have had much success with our garlic his year. Both the elephant garlic and the normal garlic have grown very big. They had lots of big leaves and looked strong to start with.

Several of our children are getting very good at identifying the different vegetables we have growing and will come over to tell us that there are flowers of the broad beans for example. As of yet we are not at a point where the children guide their own learning. They will ask to plant certain things, and love to watch them grow, however we do want to extend them into caring for the plants and knowing what to do next without prompting. to do this we are beginning to have lots of conversations around what different things plants need to survive and what they will need to grow big and strong.
